The story behind the paintings

Growing up in Norway, Hanne, felt a deep connection with her surroundings, and developed an interest in the changing colours and forms of nature.

Since moving to the Yorkshire Dales, she finds the landscape around her the inspiration for her work.

From her studio in Settle, North Yorkshire, she welcomes visits from people interested in her work.

Each painting is created from memories and the feelings felt of  places she has been.

All paintings on this site are original works, signed on the reverse, and shipped carefully from my studio. If you are considering a painting and have any questions, please send me an email — I'd love to hear from you.
